Who Is RJ Ledesma? The Host, Speaker, and Storyteller Behind the Mic

If you have attended a wedding, product launch, or business conference in Metro Manila in the last decade, there is a fair chance you have already heard RJ Ledesma. He is one of the Philippines’ most recognizable event hosts, and he got there by a route that is a little different from most emcees.
It started in front of a camera
RJ began in television as a child, hosting in children’s programs and later reading the news for youth segments. As a teenager he appeared on the GMA show Teen Talk, and many Filipinos of a certain age still remember him from a famous orange drink commercial. That early exposure taught him something that no workshop really can: how to stay relaxed and natural when the red light is on.
From brand manager to full-time host
After graduating from De La Salle University, he worked as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble before returning to broadcasting, where he hosted morning and lifestyle shows and later business programs. His wedding hosting career took off after he emceed his sister’s wedding and the planner on that event started recommending him to other couples. Since then he has been named Best Male Emcee at the Aliw Awards more than once.
A host who also builds businesses
This is where RJ stands apart. He is a co-founder of Mercato Centrale, the food night market, as well as EnterPH and EasyFranchise, and he serves as a mentor with GoNegosyo. When he moderates a panel or hosts a corporate event, he is not reading someone else’s talking points. He understands how businesses work, so the program feels informed.
Writer, podcaster, and diplomat
RJ is also an author of several best-selling nonfiction books, a columnist, and the host of a business podcast. He serves as Honorary Consul of Monaco to the Philippines, which adds a layer of protocol and polish to formal events.
What this means for your event
Whether you need a wedding host for the biggest day of your life, an event host for a corporate gathering, or a conference speaker and panel moderator, you get someone who has spent decades learning how to read a room. The goal is always the same: people leave feeling that the event was well run and that it felt like them.
